Established more than thirty years ago, MCC has grown into Washington Metro area’s leading early childhood educator. MCC has constantly insisted on taking a holistic approach to delivering hands on pre-school education.

At Montessori Children’s Center, Centreville, we believe that each child is unique and full of potential. Our approach, rooted in the Montessori philosophy, encourages independence, creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning. We respect each child’s natural development and provide carefully prepared environments that support both academic growth and social-emotional development.

MCC is a great school for anyone whos looking for friendly environment, focusing on good education from certified Montessori teachers and fun based activities. They are accredited, so they follow the protocols and meet standards to develop the kids ready for their next big step. The new management has made improvements like using the smart mobile apps that greatly helped us to know what kids have done today, the upcoming activities. I see my child didn't lose her happy spark after being to Montessori children centre. That proves Teachers and staffs takes great effort to keep the kids happily engage in the process of learning. Staffs are accommodating and gentle. Makes sure parents feel safe with their instant updates(photos & messages) on child activities.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't praise MCC enough. This one is located right across Floris Church and School on Centerville Road (near Frying Pan Farm). My eldest went there for 7 months only (Jan-July 2015) right before starting her Kindergarten and she was reading Grade 1 books. Before that she could put words together but nothing close to reading. She was doing double digit maths and knew many science/ geography/ history related things. They took kids to Cox Farms, Frying Pan farms, and Science Centers. They have a big play yard at the back and the kids are never unsupervised. They offer ballet, painting and soccer courses as well. During summer they had water slides, baking class, outdoor slides, field trips. This is one of the best pre-schools in the area. My 2nd kid just started going there and I will send my 3rd kid as well once she reaches 3 yrs. The administrators and teachers are friendly and very professional. With 3 kids under 5 I have experienced a lot of childcare centers and I am very happy with this one. Highly recommend!

We started out daughter there about a year and a half ago.  Ms. Amrit was nothing short of excellent with our daughter.  The only mistake we made was not starting her there sooner.  She is now in kindergarten and doing wonderful. They truly care about the kids development and education.

I love this place, i deeply appreciate the staff being so nice and really cares about the children and works with the parents. I’m grateful for their hours and execution, facility opened for 10 hours really helps especially since not everyone works a 9-5 job. The facility is well thought of, rooms separated to keep the ages apart. My youngest son is happy and that makes me a happy parent. They treated him and us like family, and they helped raise our son to be a moral kid, with a great attitude that is kind to others. Beyond that, he is advanced now in his learning and knows two languages going into years old.  I highly recommend this school to everyone! MCC is very well-run and communicative; importantly for busy parents, drop-off and pickup are seamless. This school effectively instills the basics and then some, socially, morally, and academically. Your kids will come out of this school confident, capable, and just plain happy. Their extracurriculars are great for the kids and they actually retain the lessons/skills. The only downside is that your kid will be well-ahead of their new public-school kindergarten classmates when they leave (good luck figuring out that conundrum). Ms. Rama (Ghosh) is an excellent head administrator/manager, and one of the best, most conscientious, high-effort organizers of activities, events, etc. I've ever encountered. She runs a tight (admirable) ship. You'll be glad you sent your children there.

We just moved to the U.S., so my 4-year-old son and I toured lots of preschools in the Herndon area. When my son first visited this preschool, he really loved the large playground. There are lots of playground equipment for the children, and they play outside every day. Playing outside is always one of the first things my son tells me about when I ask him about school. The classrooms are also very clean and well organized. The children wear indoor shoes and can choose the Montessori materials they want to work with by themselves. The teachers are very patient and always help when the children need support. The teachers are also very kind and thoughtful. Since we just moved to the U.S. from South Korea, my son only speaks Korean right now. The teachers have been very helpful in helping him adjust to preschool life. One of the Montessori 4 teachers, Ms. Salmah, even bought a Korean Words book for my son. I was so touched by her thoughtfulness and really appreciated it. I’m also very thankful to Ms. Manjeet and Ms. Shelby for warmly welcoming my son every day. There are also so many different programs and activities that help the children grow. My son really enjoys the variety of activities he does every day. The teachers share photos with us, and he brings home his work on Fridays, so my husband and I can see what he has been doing and how much he is growing. We are very happy with Montessori Children’s Center, and I highly recommend this preschool to parents who are looking for a clean, well-organized, and nurturing environment where their children can learn and grow independently, with warm and thoughtful teachers who truly care about each child.

We researched a lot of schools in the area before enrolling him here and YES it was the best decision !  He has been a part of the MCC since he was just about 2 years old. The teachers right from baby and toddler classes to his current classes are just phenomenal ! As a mom of one child, leaving him with Miss Martha was a breeze. The toddler teachers are loving, attentive, curriculum oriented, creative and go above and beyond for the kids. The school director Miss Smitha is extremely focused on a balanced child development. The result - the school has very good events all around the year, keeping the kids interested and excited year round. They also make sure parent involvement and communication is perfect which makes my life as a toddler mom super easy.  Their summer camps each year have been super organized, exciting and fun as well as stem focused. They are a nut free school with Food being balanced, non repetitive and interesting year round. After he turned 4+ his teachers Miss Salmah and Miss Manjeet focused on his overall development, his math and reading basics as well as art / science introductions and now when he is ready to join elementary he is able to do double digit additions and subtractions !! My child has flourished to grow into an happy smart kid in their hands. Thank you for the care and memories MCC !! Overall I cannot recommend this school enough.
