Our Infant Program Philosophy

The first few months of life is very essential, and the objective of the caregiver is to create a loving, safe, and secure environment. This is the most important period in your child’s life, and it is our goal to nurture your child’s abilities, and to help them develop habits that will help them throughout their life.

The little Einstein is cared for and cherished and given freedom to grow and learn naturally. Thus, as your infant grows, we will help them follow a daily routine, kindness, and to love learning.

Our Environment

The room is designed in such a way that each child is given the opportunity to reach his/her milestones at their own pace. The setting is calm, inviting, and homelike, with soft rugs, a rocking chair, books, and toys in low shelves.

In our Infant Room, we strive to give opportunity for the infants to have numerous experiences as possible to fulfil their potential.

Education is a natural process, spontaneously carried out by the child experiencing his/her environment. The infant learns without knowing that he/she is learning.

Our Approach

The little ones are given abundant opportunities to discover themself. They are given time to smile, to laugh, to move his/her arms and legs, “tummy time” and adequate period to settle down in the new environment.

Our infants are encouraged to develop their gross and fine motor skills by clasping, clutching, grabbing, rolling, crawling, standing, and walking.Infants are also encouraged to practice making sounds and words on the road to develop speech.

They treated him and us like family, and they helped raise our son to be a moral kid, with a great attitude that is kind to others. Beyond that, he is advanced now in his learning and knows two languages going into years old.  I highly recommend this school to everyone! The individualized learning plans have allowed my child to progress at their own peace ensuring they are both challenged and supported. The hands-on learning materials make abstract concepts tangible and easier to understand. We researched a lot of schools in the area before enrolling him here and YES it was the best decision !  He has been a part of the MCC since he was just about 2 years old. The teachers right from baby and toddler classes to his current classes are just phenomenal ! As a mom of one child, leaving him with Miss Martha was a breeze. The toddler teachers are loving, attentive, curriculum oriented, creative and go above and beyond for the kids. The school director Miss Smitha is extremely focused on a balanced child development. The result - the school has very good events all around the year, keeping the kids interested and excited year round. They also make sure parent involvement and communication is perfect which makes my life as a toddler mom super easy.  Their summer camps each year have been super organized, exciting and fun as well as stem focused. They are a nut free school with Food being balanced, non repetitive and interesting year round. After he turned 4+ his teachers Miss Salmah and Miss Manjeet focused on his overall development, his math and reading basics as well as art / science introductions and now when he is ready to join elementary he is able to do double digit additions and subtractions !! My child has flourished to grow into an happy smart kid in their hands. Thank you for the care and memories MCC !! Overall I cannot recommend this school enough.

Our daughter had a hard time adjusting to drop offs initially but Ms Absi and all her teachers were great about letting her take her time. Not only are their prices extremely competitive, the administration of the school, and highly-experienced teachers provide a nurturing, kind, safe, and academic learning environment for the children so that they can thrive.  The children are reading by age 4!  If you are looking for an exceptional school for your child, make an appointment and visit the Montessori Children's Center and just watch the teachers and students engage. The staff is very loving and caring and so welcoming. They engage the kids in the age appropriate activities. Ms Surma is very kind and patient with all the kids. Everyday she makes sure to tell me in detail of all the things my daughter did during the day. This is our first child so it was not easy to send her to daycare but MCC made all efforts to make us feel comfortable.

I see my child didn't lose her happy spark after being to Montessori children centre. That proves Teachers and staffs takes great effort to keep the kids happily engage in the process of learning. Staffs are accommodating and gentle. Makes sure parents feel safe with their instant updates(photos & messages) on child activities. We just moved to the U.S., so my 4-year-old son and I toured lots of preschools in the Herndon area. When my son first visited this preschool, he really loved the large playground. There are lots of playground equipment for the children, and they play outside every day. Playing outside is always one of the first things my son tells me about when I ask him about school. The classrooms are also very clean and well organized. The children wear indoor shoes and can choose the Montessori materials they want to work with by themselves. The teachers are very patient and always help when the children need support. The teachers are also very kind and thoughtful. Since we just moved to the U.S. from South Korea, my son only speaks Korean right now. The teachers have been very helpful in helping him adjust to preschool life. One of the Montessori 4 teachers, Ms. Salmah, even bought a Korean Words book for my son. I was so touched by her thoughtfulness and really appreciated it. I’m also very thankful to Ms. Manjeet and Ms. Shelby for warmly welcoming my son every day. There are also so many different programs and activities that help the children grow. My son really enjoys the variety of activities he does every day. The teachers share photos with us, and he brings home his work on Fridays, so my husband and I can see what he has been doing and how much he is growing. We are very happy with Montessori Children’s Center, and I highly recommend this preschool to parents who are looking for a clean, well-organized, and nurturing environment where their children can learn and grow independently, with warm and thoughtful teachers who truly care about each child.
